Professional Learning Courses - Terms & Conditions

In respect of these Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”), EDT refers to Educational Data Talks Pty Ltd, and “you” refers to the enrollee. “Professional Learning Course” refers to any training course provided by EDT.

Professional Learning Courses offered by EDT may be delivered in a variety of formats. These formats include synchronously, asynchronously, face-to-face, online or via blended modality and will be indicated in the course offering.  Professional Learning Courses offered by EDT are designed for education professionals.

By enrolling in a Professional Learning Course offered by EDT you are agreeing and warrant that you:

  • have read the information provided by EDT about the learning course,

  • have the necessary assumed knowledge (if applicable);

  • consider the course format of delivery is suitable for your learning needs;

  • understand and accept that the Professional Learning Courses offered by EDT are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis; and

  • have read these T&Cs and understand them and agree to comply with them.

Your Personal Information – How EDT Uses it

EDT may use and disclose your Personal Information in the following ways only:

  • To provide customer support.

  • To send you via email:

    • important messages related to Professional Learning Courses you have enrolled in. For example, to let you know about late changes to the course schedule;

    • information and promotions relevant to your relationship with EDT. If you don’t want to receive these emails, there are instructions on how to unsubscribe at the end of every email;

    • a bill to collect any moneys outstanding to EDT.

  • To support and improve the Professional Learning Courses EDT offers.

  • To inform emergency services in the event of an emergency.

Minimum numbers, cancellations, rescheduling

  • Professional Learning Courses are run subject to minimum enrolment numbers being met.

  • EDT will give a minimum of 5 (five) business days’ notice if a course needs to be cancelled.

  • In the event that a Professional Learning Course date needs to be rescheduled, EDT will contact participants promptly to advise of alternative arrangements.

Payment

  • EDT requires payment for enrolment in a Professional Learning Course at the time of enrolment.

  • You must apply any discount codes at the time of enrolment. EDT will not process discounts retrospectively.

  • You can make payment by credit card at the time of enrolment or please contact EDT to request an invoice at the time of enrolment.

Refunds

  • To receive a full refund, you must cancel your enrolment at least 10 business days prior to the commencement of a Professional Learning Course.

  • EDT does not offer a refund for change of mind or if you notify us that you are not able to attend less than 10 business days prior to the commencement of a Professional Learning Course. In limited circumstances, EDT may allow an enrolee to transfer their enrolment to another person or transfer their attendance to another EDT Professional Learning Course. Please contact EDT directly to discuss.

  • If EDT cannot deliver a Professional Learning Course that it has advertised after you have enrolled and paid, EDT will give you a full refund.

Intellectual Property

  • Professional Learning Courses and their original content are and will remain the exclusive property of EDT.

Links to Other Web Sites or services

  • EDT may include links to other web sites or services not owned or controlled by EDT in its Professional Learning Courses. EDT has no control over those other web sites or services and EDT assumes no responsibility for other web site or services content, privacy policies or practices. You acknowledge and agree that EDT is not liable or responsible, directly or indirectly, for any loss, damage or expense caused by, or alleged to be caused by, or in connection with the use of those other web sites or services not owned or controlled by EDT, or reliance on them.

  • These T&Cs are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.

  • Failure by EDT to enforce any right or term of these T&Cs is not a waiver of those rights.

  • If a term of these T&Cs is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining terms will remain valid and in effect.
